Mission: Provide financial, technical, and other stormwater assistance services to encourage regional solutions for protecting human lives and property, conserving natural resources, and promoting appropriate public use of Johnson County stream corridors.
Stormwater management is the effort to analyze, understand and address stormwater runoff from a water quantity and water quality perspective. It is the mechanism for addressing stormwater runoff for the purposes of reducing downstream erosion, water quality degradation, and flooding and mitigating the adverse effects of changes in land use and runoff characteristics on the aquatic environment.
